- [X] indicates the level number (1 = general studies, 2 = CSE programme studies, 3 = basic module (A1/B1) studies, 4 = intermediate module (A2) studies, 5 = advanced module (A3) studies, 6 = special, 7 = post-graduate)
- [Y] identifies the course's subfield within theoretical computer science (0 = general, 1 = computational logic, 2 = computational complexity theory, 3 = distributed computation, and 5 = cryptology); and
- [ZZ] is a two-digit code with no special meaning. Consult the study programme (WebOodi) for information about any possible dependencies between courses within the same subfield.
